Bronwyn Scofield
Bronwyn Scofield is an experienced Property and Commercial Lawyer, with a focus on Business Contracts, Leasing, Structuring and Commercial and Residential Conveyancing.

Bronwyn completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2018. She studied part-time through Central Queensland University while working full-time as a property law, business and conveyancing paralegal. She completed her Practical Legal Training at the College of Law in Brisbane and was admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2019.

Bronwyn enjoys helping her clients achieve their business and investment goals by making sure they understand and can navigate the complex legal processes involved.

She specialises in both Commercial and Retail Leases, Business Structuring, and the Buying and Selling of businesses, but has also had significant experience in conveyancing.

Having worked in the legal and financial sectors for her entire professional career, Bronwyn has held various positions as a receptionist, secretary, personal assistant, and paralegal, before finally deciding to further pursue her passion for law and undertake a law degree at the age of 40.

Bronwyn had always aspired to be a lawyer and decided when her children had grown that it would be a good time to start her degree.

Since being admitted, her practice has predominately been in Property and Commercial Law. She has experience in:

  • Drafting and advising on off-the-plan contracts, residential and commercial contracts in both Queensland and New South Wales,
  • Drafting and advising on business buy-sell agreements in both Queensland and New South Wales,
  • Drafting and advising on distribution agreements,
  • Reviewing and advising on super fund purchases,
  • Drafting or varying trust deeds, shareholder agreements and unitholder structuring agreements,
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial and retail leasing in both Queensland and New South Wales for landlords and tenants,
  • Reviewing and advising on retirement village contracts,
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents for survey plans for duplexes, land subdivisions and strata title matters,
  • Reviewing and advising on building contracts and subcontracts, and
  • Advising on loan agreements, mortgages, and associated documents.

She is a member of the Queensland Law Society and is also PEXA certified.
