Emily works in the firm’s Family Law team, assisting in matrimonial and de facto property matters, parenting disputes, and divorce applications. She has also had experience in the firm’s Wills and Estates department, drafting Wills and appointments of enduring powers of attorney and enduring guardian.
She has worked in the legal industry for over 12 years. Emily obtained her Associate Degree in Law in 2011, and after gaining experience in conveyancing and property matters, she turned her attention to family law and estate planning in 2013.
It was while working as a paralegal at a law firm in Murwillumbah that she realised family law was for her. She found that out of all the other practice areas she had worked in, family law had the most personal aspect.
Emily joined Attwood Marshall Lawyers in 2016. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws through Southern Cross University in 2017 and was admitted as a solicitor in 2018.
Emily is empathetic to the needs of clients who often find themselves feeling stressed and overwhelmed in dealing with situations that commonly arise in family law matters. She likes being able to help her clients and empower them with the knowledge that there is always an end to a dispute – a resolution can be achieved, and she will be there to guide them through the process.
